Direction:
Coastal ecology on the intertidal population dynamics and recruitment as well as community structure and succession, process and mechanism of metamorphosis and settlement of coastal organism in both natural and artificial environment, and ecological capacity of coastal eco-system and ecological risk evaluation.
Coastal ecotoxicology on the toxicology of permanent toxic substance PTS’(such as permanent organic pollutants, POPS, and heavy metal) in marine animal with emphasis on mollusk, the toxic mechanism of PTS to the early development of marine animal, and the pathway and process of PTS accumulation and magnification along the food chain
Marine biotechnology on culture of marine organism, marine cellular toxicology and marine germplasm cryopreservation, the mechanism of cell anti-frozen damage, and the effect of anti-freezing agent on the cellular membrane integrity.
