Research Focus
1. Computational Systems Biology: using ordinary differential equations, we establish mathematic models for biological systems, especially the metabolic networks and gene regulatory networks to study the stability and systems level behavior.
2. Epigenetic Regulation: we mainly focus on the roles of miRNA and DNA methylation in transcription regulation during stem cell differentiation and disease process
3. Biomedical informatics: we study the issues related to healthcare informatics, developing programs for medical informatics systems to enable translational medicine. We are developing knowledgebase for evidence-based medicine, clinical decision support systems and personalized medicine platforms.
