JIN Lei received his B.S (1992) and Ph.D degree (1997) both fromTsinghua University,
PRC. From 1999, he served as Associate Professor in the same university in the key Lab of
Atomic, Molecular and Nanosciences. He has visited and worked in Nottingham University,
UK; Gent University, Belgium; and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research areas
have focused on biophotonics and bioimaging. In his group, he has developed an advanced
imaging platform based on Nonlinear Microscopy which has integrated several useful physical
techniques such as MPE (Multi-photon Excitation), SHG (Second Harmonic Generation) and so
on, to study laser-tissue interaction, cancer therapies with Chinese Herbal Medicine and noninvasive
psoriasis treatment. Clinical technologies and systems are also his research interests.
