任职情况：
《上海天文台年刊》编委；上海天文学会、中国天文学会、国际天文学会会员；中国计算机学会高级会员、高性能计算专业委员会委员。
主要研究领域：
主要研究包括脉冲星辐射机制，星系的多色测光与光谱观测，类星体吸收线系统的半解析模型，暗物质晕的形成、结构和演化，星系形成的理论模型和数值模拟。其它感兴趣的领域包括：早期宇宙学，微波背景辐射，暗能量与暗物质，角动量问题，引力透镜等。
目前主持和参加的主要研究项目包括：重子对暗晕性质的影响（自然科学基金面上项目、主持）；星系的形成和星系的活动（自然科学基金创新群体，主要参加者）；科技部973项目《宇宙大尺度结构和星系形成与演化》（主要参加者）；宇宙大尺度结构的形成和演化（自然科学基金重点项目、主要参加者）；此外，还参加科技部863项目和科学院方向性项目。
培养研究生情况：
已经毕业1名；目前在读研究生4名（其中1名为合作培养），准备招研究生1-2名（鼓励硕博连读）。
