Wu Nanjian, (successful candidate of 2000 CAS Program for Attracting Overseas Professionals)
Professor of the Institute of Semiconductor, Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) and of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received Ph.D degree in electronic engineering from the Department of Electronic Engineering, the University of Electric-Communications, Japan in 1992. In 1992, he joined Research center for Interface Quantum Electronics, Hokkaido University, Japan as Researcher Associate and. In 1998, he joined the Department of Electronic Engineering, the University of Electric-Communications, Japan as Associate Professor. In 2001, he joined the Institute of Semiconductors, CAS, China as Professor. His worked on the field of the semiconductor devices, the nanometer quantum effect device, physical models of circuit and computer simulations and Silicon mixed-signal large scale integrated circuit(VLSI) and has done a lot of pioneering work. His current research interests are 1) Design of Vision Chip Based on Multi-Level Parallel Processors; 2) Low Power High Performance Radio Frequency Transceiver for Short Range Wireless Communications; and 3) Design of semiconductor quantum effect devices and circuist.
