Pyrolysis and catalytic hydropyrolysis of Tongchuan coal were studied using TG analysis. Y zeolite was effective for reducing pyrolysis temperature and increasing conversion rate.The Y zeolite catalytic hydropyrolysis conversion rate increased by 9.8 7/6,and the second peak temperature decreased by 85 C compared with the pyrolysis under N 2.NiS was effective for increasing conversion rate.The NiS catalytic hydropyrolysis conversion rate increased by 1 3.8 7/6,and the second peak temperature decreased by 42 C compared with the pyrolysis under N 2.The kinetics results showed that the coal added catalyst had lower activation energy than the raw coal.
