研究方向:从基因-脑-行为-认知相结合的角度,研究果蝇的学习、记忆、注意和抉择和其他高级认知活动,并以果蝇为模式动物,研究神经退行性疾病的分子/细胞机制。 他的实验室开创了果蝇的基于价值的两难抉择研究;发现果蝇中央脑中的蘑菇体结构和多巴胺系统共同掌控果蝇的基于价值的抉择。发现了经验可以提升果蝇的视觉特征抽提能力以及果蝇中央脑的一个叫蘑菇体的结构参与上述的认知过程。

Biography & Introduction

Main Research Interest and Recent Progress (06-07) His Lab currently is mainly focusing on leaning/ memory and high level cognition in Drosophila. His long term goal is to explore the primary events of high level cognitive activities in Drosophila brain from evolutional point of view, to shed new light on brain-mind relationship.
Recently, his Lab discovered a simple value 朾ased decision-making behavior in Drosophila facing competing visual cues at flight simulator and found that Dopamine-Mushroom body circuit regulate decision-making process in Drosophila (Science 2007). His Lab also found that previous experience can enhance visual feature extraction among combinatorial features and that MBs are required for this experience-dependent visual cognition (J. Neurosci,2007).
