Resume:

Dr.Jianhua Qin is currently a professor from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences. She was appointed to the position of group leader of microfluidics research laboratory in 2006 and director of Microfluidics Research Center in DICP in 2009. Dr.Qin received M.D from China Medical University, and Ph.D from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics. She worked as Post-doc fellow in University of Toronto and visiting professor in University of Hong Kong. Dr.Qin serves as the Associate Editor for the journal of “BIOMICROFLUIDICS” and the Editor Board Member of “ELECTROPHORESIS”. She is also the co-editor of yearly special issue “Miniaturization in Asia Pacific” of ELECTROPHORESIS.

Dr.Qin has published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers, 2 books and filed 20 patents at home and abroad. Her research interest is mainly focused on the combination of microfluidics and nano-scale technologies to understand natural and dysfunctional biological systems (such as tumor microenvironment) that lead to the design of novel diagnostic schemes and therapeutic strategies.

Research Interest:
Synthesis of biofunctional materials
Construction of biomimetic microsystem
Drug screening at cellular and organism levels
Point of care diagnostics
